Who we are
VolDesk Analytics is the trading name of Chirag Asnani, based in India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website — meaning we decide why and how it is processed. You are the Data Principal.

What we collect
Only what you give us, plus the minimum our server records to stay secure.
| Source | Data | Provided by |
|---|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, email address, phone number, and the message you write | You |
| Grievance form | Name, email address, phone number, complaint category, your description of the issue, and a client code if you enter one | You |
| Server logs | A one-way hash of your IP address, and the date and time of the request. We do not store your raw IP address. | Automatic |
What we do not collect. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this site. We do not collect your PAN, date of birth, bank details, demat details or any financial information — and we will never ask for your trading password or an OTP. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| To read and reply to your enquiry | Your consent, given when you submit the form. You are told at the point of collection what the form is for. |
| To investigate and resolve a complaint, and to keep a record of how it was handled | Your consent, and our need to maintain complaint records as a regulated intermediary once registered. |
| To protect the site from spam and abuse | Our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and secure. This is why we hash and briefly retain request metadata. |
We do not use your details for marketing unless you separately ask us to. We do not profile you, and no automated decision is made about you.
How long we keep it
| Data | Retention | Why |
|---|---|---|
| General enquiries | 24 months | So we can follow up and keep continuity if you write again |
| Complaints and grievances | 5 years | Record-keeping expected of a Research Analyst; kept longer if a dispute is unresolved or an authority requires it |
| Rate-limiting metadata | Hours | Deleted automatically once the limiting window passes |
When a retention period ends, or when you ask us to erase your data and we have no legal reason to keep it, the record is deleted.
Who can see it
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
It is accessible only to:
- Chirag Asnani, and any staff who need it to answer you
- Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions purely to run the website and deliver mail
- SEBI, a Research Analyst Administration and Supervisory Body, a court, or another authority, where we are legally required to disclose
Your data is stored on servers located in India. If we ever move processing outside India, we will update this policy first.
How we protect it
- The site runs over HTTPS, so what you submit is encrypted in transit
- Form submissions are stored in a database that is not reachable from the internet
- Access is restricted to the accounts that need it, and the application runs under a dedicated, isolated system user
- IP addresses are stored only as a salted one-way hash, never in raw form
- Backups are taken regularly and are subject to the same retention periods
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access — ask what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it
- Correction and completion — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated
- Erasure — have your data deleted, unless we are legally required to retain it
- Withdraw consent — as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect anything done before you withdrew
- Grievance redressal — complain to us and receive a response
- Nominate — nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity
To exercise any of these, email contact@voldesk.in with enough detail for us to identify your record. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use cookies. There are no advertising trackers, no social media pixels and no third-party analytics. Nothing is stored in your browser to identify you, and you will not see a cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
Our site links to external sites such as SEBI SCORES, the SMART ODR portal and our social media profiles. Once you follow those links you are on someone else's site, governed by their privacy policy, not this one.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services develop — in particular when SEBI registration is granted and we begin onboarding subscribers, which will involve collecting identity and KYC information not covered here.
The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes affecting how we use data you have already given us will be notified to you directly where we hold your contact details.
